After last week's dramatic overtime win, the Lehman Lobos look to maintain momentum and close non-district play with a second-straight win. They'll have to do so against a much-improved Jay team that went winless a year ago. Lehman's defense, which came up with several key stops last week, will contend against a relatively balanced Mustang offense. Jay QB Jacob Zeno, who's passed for 648 yds so far this year, has several threats at wide receiver, while RB Jaylin Hastings will carry the rushing load for the Mustangs. Lehman's offense, led by RB Kaleb Priestly and QB Daniel O'Neal, goes up against a Jay defense that hasn't allowed more than 20 points in three games. A homecoming win for Lehman could be critical before hitting district play next week.
Hays Rebels at San Antonio Reagan Rattlers

There will be no rest for the weary Hays Rebels as they take on a perennial San Antonio area power Friday. Hays, which has been the victim of back-to-back narrow losses, goes up against a Reagan team that's also coming off a close defeat. Hays' defense, which has been hot and cold at times this season, will be tasked in stopping Rattler RB John Carrington and QB Cade Cogburn. While Reagan's offense is balanced, it's only amassed 664 yards in three games. Conversely, Hays' offense counters with a group that's put up over 1,500 total offensive yards. Hays will continue to lean on a multiple threat rushing attack, along with a burgeoning passing game. But can Hays pull it all together and secure a win? They may have to do so before a brutal start to district against the defending state champions next week.
Dripping Springs Tigers vs. Kerrville Tivy Antlers

Three games into the 2017 season and the Dripping Springs Tigers are proving last year's record-breaking season was no fluke. However, the reality of Texas high school football arrives Friday as Dripping Springs enters district play. The Tigers open district play with a Tivy team that's coming off a lopsided loss to San Angelo Central. Tivy brings an offense that features a dual-threat rushing attack led by seniors Macrae Sherron and Hunter Saunders. The Antlers, which have only totaled about 700 yards offensively this year, take on a formidable Tiger defense that passed a big test against Hays last week. Where the Tigers' power lies in its offense, which has put up close to 1,400 yards in three contest.
