P is for pi[e]: Business celebrates March 14
KYLE — The city of Kyle takes Pi Day seriously, as the beloved Texas Pie Company sits in the heart of downtown. Pie Day is celebrated on March 14 around the world. Pi (Greek letter “π”) is the symbol used in mathematics to represent a constant that is the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter, which is approximately 3.14159.

Council reverses vote on alcohol fees
— In a 4-3 reversal vote, businesses who sell alcohol in Kyle will no longer be exempt from the city’s alcohol license permit fees following the March 7 city council meeting.

Costco to hold ribbon cutting celebration
— Costco will be opening soon in Kyle. A ribbon cutting will be held at the new 152,000-square-foot warehouse, located at 19086 I-35 in Kyle, at 7 a.m. on Thursday, March 30. Previously, residents had to travel to one of the Austin or San Antonio locations to shop at a Costco.
