Staff Report SAN MARCOS — The Hays County Commissioners Court has awarded a contract to Austin Pets Alive!, a leading animal welfare organization, to continue its groundbreaking work at the Hays County Pet Resource Center.

Staff Report HAYS COUNTY S — The Hays County Pet Resource Center is launching an area wide microchip awareness campaign, “The Power of Microchips,” to promote pet reunification and microchips for Hays County pet owners.

Staff Report HAYS COUNTY — The Central Texas Food Bank (CTFB) and Hays County Pet Resource Center (Hays PRC) will host a second drive-up food distribution for people and pets this weekend.

SAN MAROCS — During National Pet Month, the San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter took the opportunity to share its current conditions and how community members can get involved.

In January, the Hays County Pet Resource Center launched its Positive Alternatives to Shelter Surrender (P.A.S.S.) program, which has helped more than 50 families.

HAYS COUNTY — Residents are encouraged to participate in an online survey that will guide the future of animal welfare in the area.
