HAYS COUNTY — Since moving into a new building last year, the Hays County Health Department has been working to expand the resources and services it provides to the community.

Staff Report KYLE — The Justice of the Peace Precinct 2, Place 2 court, located at 5458 FM 2770 in Kyle, opened to the public on Monday, Feb. 5.
“We know that people have been held in our facility for long periods of time and suffer from various mental illnesses, including substance abuse, and we know that the jail is not solving those problems.”
HAYS COUNTY — At its Jan. 16 meeting, the Hays County Commissioners Court approved changes — suggested by Human Resources Director Shari Miller — to amend the current human resources policy.
The Hays County Health Department opened its Immunization Clinic on Jan. 16 and will offer vaccinations to eligible individuals under the Texas Vaccines for Children (TVFC) and Adult Safety Net (ASN) programs.
HAYS COUNTY – The Hays County Mental Health Court (MHC) has been working to offer an alternative to incarceration for individuals who otherwise may not receive the help they need.
DRIPPING SPRINGS – Following approval by the Hays County Commissioners Court, the Dripping Springs City Council approved an amended interlocal agreement between the city and Hays County for the use of the Dripping Springs Ranch Park on Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2023.
HAYS COUNTY — A fifth Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone (TIRZ) is in the works for the city of Kyle.
