— Following the postponement of any action on the item during the last meeting, the Hays County Commissioners Court unanimously approved a development agreement on June 6 for Mission Oaks Condominiums between the county, Davy Crockett Estates, LLC and Lang Family Ranches L.P.
— Texas only has 25 affordable and available rental homes for every 100 extremely low-income renter households, according to the National Low Income Housing Coalition. There are 904,814 extremely low-income renter households in the state.
— As the county grows, Austinbased company MileStone Community Builders has approached multiple government entities with proposals for subdivisions including Hays Commons, located at FM 1626 and Carpenter Lane in Manchaca.
