KYLE — On Monday, Nov. 20, Kyle City Council approved the purchase of three downtown buildings, as well as a Property Improvement Plan to help residents who cannot afford or are not able to make repairs to their home.

By Brittany Kelley KYLE — Following a special meeting where Mayor Travis Mitchell and District 2 city council member Robert Rizo were sworn in, Kyle City Council approved new names for the victims unit at the Public Safety Center on Nov. 14.

KYLE — At its Sept. 5 meeting, Kyle City Council unanimously voted to approve amendments made to the Economic Development and Tourism Board.

By Brittany Kelley KYLE — Kyle City Council held a meeting with the Planning and Zoning Commission on Aug. 29 to discuss recommendations to the 2030 Comprehensive Plan.

KYLE — At a special meeting held on Tuesday, Aug. 29, Kyle City Council heard details of a potential water agreement with the city of San Marcos for the second consecutive year.

KYLE — At the State of the City luncheon held on Tuesday, Aug. 22, hosted by the Kyle Chamber of Commerce, city leaders provided updates to constituents about the progress that has occurred in the past year, as well as showcased what the future holds.

KYLE — During its July 29 budget meeting, Kyle City Council directed staff to look at the possibility of keeping the property tax rate the same for 2024. At its Aug. 10 special meeting, council was presented with a debt defeasance option.

KYLE — Recently, Kyle City Council discussed the possibility of removing “cultural” from the title of the Arts and Cultural Commission. In response, several residents voiced their concerns during public comments at the Aug. 1 meeting.

KYLE — At its budget workshop on Saturday, July 29, Kyle City Council heard updates to the ongoing proposal for FY 2023-24. The meeting was one of many to be held before adopting the budget in October.

KYLE — At its July 18 meeting, Kyle City Council heard an item about installing a potential misting system at Mary Kyle Hartson City Square Park.

KYLE — During a special joint meeting on July 12 with the Planning and Zoning Commission, Kyle City Council heard a presentation from AJ Fawver of Verdunity regarding the Comprehensive Plan 2030.

KYLE — At its July 6 meeting, Kyle City Council requested an update on the status of an agreement for a possible senior center that was discussed on Jan. 4, 2022.
