One new face, two incumbents take their seats on school board

One new and two incumbent Hays CISD board members were officially sworn in Monday night at a specially called meeting.
Theresa Tobias, District 1 (left), along with incumbents Sandra Bryant,at-large, and Willie Tenorio, District 2, took their oath of office.
About 70 people attended the swearing in, performed by Justice of the Peace Beth Smith. The ceremony was held in a meeting room at the Performing Arts Center.
About 1,300 voters participated in the May 10 election, which also included a $59.1 million bond to build a new middle school among other priorities.
Members of the Hays CISD Board of Trustee serve three-year terms.
