I love visiting the Downtown Buda Farmers’ Market on Saturday mornings. It gives me hope. Every time. Sometimes I despair that things never will turn back toward a more sensible path. That people will continue to treat the earth, themselves and others around them (near and far) with callous disregard. And then I visit the bustling market, and talk with friends and farmers, see smiling children and happy puppies. Try new things created by some dedicated folks. Come home with good things in my sacks and in my heart. I’m grateful to those who put their time and energy into the market to make it happen every week. I hope readers will make time to visit. You’ll be glad you did. It’s good medicine for body, mind and soul.
