The Lehman Lady Lobos volleyball team lost their matchup against the Del Valle Cardinals 3-1. The Lady Lobos fought hard but were not able to come up with the win.
The Lady Lobos lost the first set 14-25. The Lobos were stricken by multiple fault calls that easily accounted for the point spread between the teams.
A penalty cost the Lobos the opening point of this hard fought set. The Cardinals won the second set 25-22.
Junior Kynslee Noriega got the Lobos off to a 4-0 run at the opening of the third set. Buoyed by Noriega and Kali Palomarez’s 6 point run, the Lobos won the third set 25-16.
The opening point of the fourth set was another hard fought and lost point for the Lady Lobos. Senior Cheyenne Morgan, who sang a breathtaking rendition of the National Anthem before the game, contributed a 6 point run for the Lobos. The Lady Lobos lost the set 22-25.
Lehman volleyball’s record stands at 0-2 in district play and 0-8 overall.
