The Lehman High School community is celebrating the announcement of this year’s AP (Advanced Placement) Scholars honors, which includes thirty Lobos from the just-graduated Class of 2014 and the upcoming Class of 2015.
The AP Scholars honor has been announced for seven members of the current LHS Senior Class and eighteen members of the Class of 2014. Additionally, two students — one each from the Class of 2014 and 2015 — received “AP Scholar with Honor” recognition, and three students, including a senior, received “AP Scholar with Distinction” honors.
Ofelia Negrete-Vasquez’s top AP Scholar with Distinction honor signifies she received an average score of at least 3.5 on all of her AP exams and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of those exams. She was joined at that highest level by 2014 graduates Alexandria Fajardo and Olivia Marzullo. Adrian Castro’s AP Scholar with Honor recognition was for averaging at least 3.25 on all his AP exams and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of those exams. He was joined at that level by 2014 graduate Tyler Thormahlen.
Those designated AP Scholars received scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP exams. Additional Class of 2014 honorees included Joseph Alvarez, Brody Coxe, Sayamarie Davis, Gabriel Doria, Anabel Gomez, Shiela Gonzalez, Jenna Harlan, Kayleigh Holder, Kristen Jefferson, Gary Kirchhofer, Mary Lehman, Ashley Osorio, Mark Ramos, David Rangel, Brenda Reyes-Monroy, Christopher Salas, Alexis Soto and Casey Williams.
