Staff report
Three second half goals scored by the Twin Cities Football Club was enough to hold off the Central Texas Lobos 3-1 Saturday in Eagle Pass.
The Lobos and Twin Cities were scoreless after a half of play Saturday, despite an injury suffered by forward Eli Guajardo in the second minute of play.
The Lobos held a 1-0 lead early in the second half following a goal by Omar Rangel.
CenTex’s lead, however, was short lived as Twin Cities exploited depth issues to tally three goals down the stretch.
The game was the inaugural contest for the Lobos, the newest team in the Texas Professional Soccer League (TPSL), which began operations in Kyle this summer. The Lobos will host their inaugural home game Saturday, 3:30 p.m. at Gregg Clarke Park.
