Hays County Grand Jury indicts 10 from Kyle, Buda area

STAFF REPORT


The Hays County Grand Jury indicted the following suspects in October:


• Jose Federico Martinez, 42, Kyle: Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, second degree felony, occurred May 23. Arraignment is slated for Nov. 21 at the 22nd District Court in San Marcos.


• Edgar Campos-Vargas, 29, Buda: Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon/family violence, first degree felony, occurred April 15. Arraignment is slated for Nov. 17 at the 22nd District Court.


• Michael Joseph Kline, 57, Kyle: Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon/family violence, second degree felony, occurred March 26. Arraignment is slated for Nov. 21 at the 22nd District Court.


• John Michael Perez, 17, Kyle: Burglary of a habitation, second degree felony, occurred Aug. 13. Arraignment is slated for Nov. 16 at the 22nd District Court.


• Robert Ray Sanchez, 31, Buda: Credit card abuse, state jail felony, occurred June 27. Arraignment is slated for Nov. 16 at the 22nd District Court.


• Patricia Celius, 50, Kyle: Driving while intoxicated, subsequent offense, third degree felony, occurred Sept. 10. Arraignment is slated for Nov. 21 at the 22nd District Court.


• Jose Alfonse Fuentes, 33, Kyle: Possession of cocaine less than one gram, state jail felony, occurred July 20. Arraignment is slated for Dec. 1 at the 22nd District Court.


• Chad Allen Brown, 28, Kyle: Possession of methamphetamine less than one gram, state jail felony, occurred June 7. Arraignment is slated for Nov. 30 at the 22nd District Court.


• Jeffrey Thomas Daniel, 38, Kyle: Retaliation, third degree felony, occurred May 9. Arraignment is slated for Nov. 30 at the 22nd District Court.


• Martin Vargas Jr., 23, of Kyle: Sexual assault, second degree felony, occurred July 26. Pre-trial motions slated for Nov. 21 at the 22nd District Court.


Grand jury indictments are not findings of guilt. However, there hasĀ  been enough evidence in each case to warrant a trial. All of the suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
