STAFF REPORT
A 46-year-old Buda man accused of snapping photos up a female coworker’s skirt on his cell phone was one of a few local residents indicted by the Hays County Grand Jury last month.
Rosendo Rosales was arrested for improper photography without consent while at the coworker’s party in March. The alleged victim noticed Rosales place his phone underneath a table as she sat across from him, a police report says.
When Rosales left his cell phone on the counter and fell asleep on the couch, the victim and her friend grabbed his phone and saw that he had taken four photos of the victim’s waistline that showed her skirt and underwear. Her friend deleted the images, according to an arrest affidavit.
Rosales was booked on the state jail felony April 20 and released the same day on a $3,500 bond. His arraignment is set for Dec. 14 at the 22nd District Court in San Marcos, court records show
Other suspects indicted were:
* James Ross Dixon, 17, Kyle: Assault on a public servant, third degree felony, occurred Aug. 25. Arraignment is slated for Monday at the 22nd District Court.
* Stefanie Martinez-Gutierrez, 22, Kyle: Possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, four grams or more but less than 200 grams, first degree felony, occurred Aug. 31. Arraignment is slated for Dec. 12 at the 22nd District Court.
* Robert Lopez, 50, of Kyle: Driving while intoxicated/subsequent offense, third-degree felony, occurred July 21. No court dates have been set. He is the only suspect that remains in custody at Hays County Jail on bonds worth $30,000.
Grand jury indictments are not findings of guilt. However, there has been enough evidence in each case to warrant a trial. All of the suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
