Live Oak forms fishing club
Live Oak Academy librarian Alex Gloria is organizing the Live Oak Academy Fishing Club for students on that campus and he’s asking the community for some help. Gloria asks that supporters of the idea take a look in their garage, storage shed, or attic and see if there are items that could be donated to help the cause. Rods and reels, tackle boxes, and lures are surely among the most needed items. For more information or to donate, contact Gloria at [email protected].

All of it leads to a moving lesson about community responsibility and the stories we tell our children.” Opening weekend shows include a 7 p.m. Saturday evening, Nov. 5, production and a 2:30 p.m. Sunday matinee Nov. 6. The production continues the following weekend with a 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, show and a 2:30 p.m. matinee Sunday, Nov. 13.  Tickets are $5 for students and $7 for adults and are available on the department’s website, no-nameplayers.weebly.com.
