It may be hot and dry but that will not stop the 115th annual Camp Ben McCulloch Reunion from starting on Friday, June 17 and running until the music for the last dance is played on Friday, June 24. The Michael Myers Band gets things started on the first night, followed by Jason Allen on Saturday. Dean Seltzer will be playing Wednesday, June 22, People’s Choice on Thursday, June 23 and rounding out the music on Friday, June 24 will be the Doug Moreland Band. There will be lots of entertainment for all ages with carnival rides, bingo, food, drinks and visiting, visiting, visiting. Join the crowd and come out to Camp Ben, which is located on FM 1826 across the road from Salt Lick.

Now you can buy a “cold one” at Palmar Restaurant in downtown Buda! The Mexican restaurant is located at the corner of Main and FM 2770. Lots of old timers around here remember back in the days when Buda was very dry and that was not due to no rain. My how things have changed.

The house on Main Street, which is home to Fraser’s Pottery, got a new coat of paint, white with blue trim. I believe that wife Linda gets a little credit for the painting job. Looks good.

After a trip to Houston to see a granddaughter graduate from high school, taking a fall at a hotel and cutting her head and having eye cataract surgery on her left eye, Faye Fletcher is home for a rest. Fletcher is feeling good now and will sing for the senior citizens at the weekly lunch on Thursday.
Pam Carolan had hip replacement surgery, which involved a new procedure using a robot and no muscle cutting. Carolan came home from the hospital last week and now is getting in-home therapy for a couple of weeks. All in all, she is doing great and should have a fast recovery and be ready to get out and go very soon.
