How time flies when you’re having fun, well time flies whether you are having fun or not. Here it is Feb. 14 and my poinsettias are blooming as though it was December 25th. Hope all enjoyed their Valentine gifts.

Coming to visit with Raymond and Myrtle Heideman on Sunday were Herbert and Pauline Schwertfeger of Temple. They came to attend church at St. Paul U.C.C.in Lockhart, enjoyed the lunch and also attended the church meeting. Other visitors were Beverly Mayes and daughter, Barbara of Austin. They brought pictures and history of husband Don Mayes, 26 plus years in the military. All enjoyed the lively conversation and reminiscing of the good times. Don and Beverly and family were residents of Uhland for many years.

Speaking of the military, response for the Honor and Memory Wall has been great, thank you. Many families are busy finding pictures and histories of their relatives to be included on the wall. The committee and helpers are preparing the frames, reproducing pictures, etc. Hang in there, they will be ready to hang soon.
