Rangers rock food bank
We continue to get news of the Hays CISD support of the Hays County Food Bank’s Turkeys Tackling Hunger campaign. The latest comes in from Wallace Middle School, where the Ranger student council hosted a fundraiser and raised $224 and collected approximately 240 canned food items. Thanks continue to be offered from the staff at the food bank for the amazing local school showing from campuses like Wallace – and others already highlighted here.
Student artists share centerpieces
A number of local elementary schools helped H-E-B add a touch of color to their Thanksgiving Feast of Sharing by creating and presenting centerpieces they created in art classes. Art students from Camino Real Elementary, Pfluger Elementary, Elm Grove Elementary, Hemphill Elementary and Blanco Vista Elementary contributed to the special dinner.
