Hays Cares, a nonprofit based in Hays County, is holding its annual Shoes of Hope event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 22 at McCormick Middle School in Buda to provide students with a free pair of shoes. Backpacks and school supplies will also be available.
