On Feb. 7, Eikon Church will be organizing and hosting Night to Shine, a prom night for individuals with special needs. This is an event that is sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation and Eikon Church will join 721 other churches around the world in celebrating people with special needs and giving them an unforgettable prom night experience.
Eikon will be hosting over 100 special needs individuals ages 14 and older at Night to Shine. Every guest will be able to choose prom night attire, have the chance to get their hair and make up done and then walk the red carpet into their own personal prom experience where every guest will be crowned king or queen of the prom. The guests will each be partnered with a buddy who will ensure that their needs are met and that each guest is able to have the best experience. Local police officers and medical personnel will be on site during the event to ensure everyones health and safety. The guests will have access to several fun activities, including dinner and dessert, limo rides, a dance floor with a live DJ, karaoke, crafts, and more. The night will end with a professional firework show.
Eikon places a large emphasis on children and families and offers services that are casual, engaging, with contemporary music and helpful messages. Eikon (which means image) has invested so much into the community because it believes that they are to partner with other churches and organizations to represent God in the local community. Since arriving to San Marcos in July, 2012, they have partnered with many local organizations and area schools to see the city have a better life and grow into better individuals. Since God is good, they want to do good and be good within the city.
Eikon Church has services at 9:30 and 11 a.m. every Sunday. They are located at 400 Old Post Road in Kyle. For more information about the church, please visit eikonchurch.com.
