Hays County’s 8th and 9th cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in two people in separate households with connection to Carpenter Hill Elementary School in Buda. All cases confirmed so far have occurred in adults.
The new cases mark four among people with connections to public schools. A person who had been on the campus at Tobias Elementary School on March 11 was confirmed as having the disease March 18. Another individual who had visited the campus of San Marcos High School on March 12 was confirmed positive for the virus on March 22.
Of the 9 cases known as of Tuesday afternoon, 2 were in Buda, 2 in Kyle, 2 in San Marcos, 1 in Dripping Springs and one with an Austin address that is within Hays County.
