At a special meeting on Aug. 3, the Dripping Springs ISD Board of Trustees unanimously approved Superintendent Todd Washburn’s recommendation of Cedric Menchion as the district’s new Chief Financial Officer.

Menchion has been the controller at Killeen ISD since 2014 and has more than 20 years of experience in financial and investment-related positions. At Killeen, he is responsible for the Payroll, Treasury and Accounts Payable departments. Menchion’s first position in the public school environment was at Austin ISD, where he spent two years as the district’s treasurer.

“With eight years of experience in public schools and more than 20 years overall in the financial field, Cedric Menchion brings well-rounded experience to the position,” said Washburn. “He is a life-long learner who has shown commitment to helping his staff grow and develop professionally, and we are pleased to welcome him to our DSISD team.”
