Vietnam Veterans Memorial replica visits Kyle
— Dozens of war veterans walked in silence through the flag-lined sidewalk as they hugged each other and spoke of the 20 years that forever changed them. The city of Kyle hosted an opening ceremony for The Wall That Heals, a Vietnam Veterans Memorial replica and mobile education center, on the morning of May 4.

Voters approve $315.6M bonds, elect new trustees
HAYS COUNTY — Approximately 12,176 Hays County citizens turned out on Saturday, May 6 for the election, which would determine who would fill positions on the Hays CISD Board of Trustees and approve or deny four bonds proposed by the district for new facilities and equipment.

Tigers win bi-district over Stony Point
By Albert Sanchez DRIPPING SPRINGS — Dripping Springs Tigers Softball (31-7) opened bi-district playoffs with a sweep over Round Rock's Stony Point High School (12-16) at Tiger Field. The Tigers won the first game 5-1 and won the second game 7-3.
