The Wimberley High School Texans and Dripping Springs High School Tigers success stories last year ended before the final chapter for both football teams could be finished; each are eager to pick up where they left off, but the rewrite won’t be easy.
On Saturday, March 23, Chicken Express will sponsor the 8th Annual Basketball Classic at Fredericksburg High School. The high school boys and girls all-star teams will draw players from throughout the Hill Country, chosen from approximately 30 high schools, according to a press release.
The Dripping Springs Tigers competed in their first meet of the season on Feb. 8 at the Hawks Relays, hosted by Hays High School.

— The Wimberley High School varsity volleyball team took a 3-2 win when Fredericksburg forced the match to five games in the Texans 4A District 27 home opener last year. It was not to be in this year’s district home opener for the two teams in Fredericksburg on Friday, Sept. 8.
WIMBERLEY — The Wimberley High School UIL Academic Team dominated the District 27-4A Academic Meet, winning a staggering 604 points — 342 points more than second place Fredericksburg High School.
