Staff Report WIMBERLEY — At its Feb. 12 meeting, the Wimberley ISD Board of Trustees approved the district's 2024-25 academic calendar.

Dripping Springs High School seniors Luke Bohan and William Johns were selected as National Merit Finalists in the 69th annual National Merit Scholarship Program. Less than 1% of U.S. high school seniors are recognized with this prestigious honor.

DRIPPING SPRINGS — At its Feb. 20 agenda review meeting, the Dripping Springs ISD Board of Trustees discussed the potential budget assumptions and parameters for FY 2024-25.

Right before the holidays, I heard the tragic news that one of my classmates from high school unexpectedly passed away in his New York apartment.

February is Dating Violence Awareness month and we hope to educate our community on this very important issue. One in three young people will experience dating violence in their lifetime. Locally, the Hays-Caldwell Women’s Center has been serving victims of domestic and dating violence, sexual assault and child abuse since 1978.

Austin Community College District (ACC) is evaluating expanding eligibility for the pilot launch of its proposed free tuition program. The college presented updates during a work session on Monday, Feb. 12, with the board of trustees.
