BUDA — Carol Swanson Rodgers, a Buda resident, visited Lockhart State Park with her son years ago as a way to introduce her family to what the state has to offer. Thirty-seven years later, she has visited all 106 state parks of Texas.

HAYS COUNTY — Numerous agencies responded to the Vineyard Hill fire off Hilliard Road in Precinct 3 of Hays County on Saturday, July 8. As of noon on Monday, July 10 the fire was 100% contained.

KYLE — Kyle City Council held its second budget workshop of the year on Saturday, July 8 at city hall to hear a presentation on the proposed FY 2023-24 budget and to direct staff with comments.

— Just like other area school districts, Dripping Springs ISD approved and updated its hazardous transportation route designations on June 26.
