The Lehman High School Winter Guards are off to another great start as the teams prepare for the 2016 competitive season. Wrapping up their annual holiday rehearsal camp, both the Varsity and JV units have major portions of their programs completed after working with Director Johnnie Green, assistants Nicole Arbuckle and Julianah Iwelu, and world class designers Andy Acheson and Pamala Davis-Ausdemore.
Lehman will kick off the season by hosting the Texas Color Guard Circuit Judges Training and State Field Day on Jan. 16, followed by several Austin area contests, and then Winter Guard International Regionals in both San Antonio, and Austin (hosted here at Lehman on Feb. 27).
As one of the most competitive programs in the State, both the JV and Varsity teams expect another strong showing at their State Championships in Reed Arena at Texas A & M on April 2. Stay tuned for progress throughout the season.
