District continues with Spectrum, to pay staff during closure

DRIPPING SPRINGS — At its July 16 meeting, Dripping Springs City Council discussed the future of a local mountain biking club's use of Dripping Springs Ranch Park.

PHOTO COURTESY OF DRIPPING SPRINGS ISD The Dripping Springs Education Foundation presented a check to Dripping Springs ISD in the amount of $417,541.99 at the June 24 board of trustees meeting. The check will support Student Leadership Grants, Innovative Teaching Grants, and salaries for three licensed mental health professionals and a staff wellness counselor.

DRIPPING SPRINGS — The city of Dripping Springs is in the process of bringing new life to a historic building downtown.

DRIPPING SPRINGS — Following a public hearing during it's June 24 meeting, the Dripping Springs ISD Board of Trustees unanimously approved a $123.68 million budget for the 2024-25 fiscal year, with a deficit of $2.89 million.

In a June 11 press release, the University Interscholastic League’s Legislative Council passed an amendment for split divisions in the post season for volleyball, basketball, soccer, softball and baseball.

DRIPPING SPRINGS — The sixth elementary school in Dripping Springs ISD is getting closer to fruition with a groundbreaking ceremony set for 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 18 in the Headwaters neighborhood.

More than 50 seniors participated in the 24th Annual Greater Austin Area All Star Softball Game on June 5. In the end, the South All Star team won 2-0.

DRIPPING SPRINGS — Parents who are wanting to request a transfer for their student from an overcrowded Dripping Springs ISD campus have until June 1 to submit their application.

An organization that has been providing services to the Dripping Springs community, and neighboring areas, for nearly 40 years is continuously seeking donations to keep the food on the table for families.
