SAN MARCOS – Hays County Commissioners Court approved a funding agreement for the amount of $3,750,000 with Wimberley ISD and Wimberley Youth Sports Association (WYSA) at its July 30 meeting to aid with the costs associated with the design and construction needed for the youth sporting field common areas.

WIMBERLEY — Oftentimes, financial barriers can keep a kid from signing up for sports and extracurricular activities because the cost of the equipment can be too expensive for a family’s budget. However, the team behind Logan’s Dugout works to alleviate that burden, so that kids can play.

When I was elected to the Wimberley ISD Board of Trustees in 2018, I did so with the aim of helping to provide the optimal learning environment for Wimberley students. I knew there would be a series of “asks” that I would have to make as I joined the board. I’d have to ask myself for a time and energy commitment to serve. My fellow trustees and I would have to ask each other for a strong level of trust and dedication. I would have to ask our superintendent for an amount of accountability required to guide our district.

Staff Report WIMBERLEY — Leslie Campbell, a special education teacher at Jacob’s Well Elementary (JWE), was named the inaugural 'Texan of the Month' — the honor given in Wimberley ISD's (WISD) new employee recognition program.

After a 8-4 loss to Steele and a 7-7 tie against Floresville on Thursday, the Wimberley Texans baseball team played its third game of the Texan Classic tournament on Friday, March 8.
