Staff Report WIMBERLEY — Wimberley High School had numerous students place at the UIL Academic State Meet on May 19, four of which placed in the top ten.

Staff Report AUSTIN — On Thursday, May 11, Wimberley High School seniors Emily Thames and Gabriel Wray closed out their record-setting track and field careers by winning gold medals at the UIL State meet in Austin. Wray later added a bronze medal in triple jump, which is his third state horizontal jumps medal in two years.

Dripping Springs Tigers softball (32-9) played East Central High School (2213) in the area round of the UIL 6A tournament bracket.

WIMBERLEY — The Wimberley High School UIL Academic Team was the runner-up in the overall school sweepstakes at the 4A-Region IV Academic Meet, held on April 21-22 at Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi.

— Six graduating seniors were named winners of the Hays County Local Health Department (HCLHD) essay competition.

WIMBERLEY — Watching stories unfold and students’ dreams come true from the stage is not new for Bridget Gates.

WIMBERLEY — The Wimberley High School UIL Academic Team dominated the District 27-4A Academic Meet, winning a staggering 604 points — 342 points more than second place Fredericksburg High School.

— On Saturday, Feb. 11, the Wimberley High School UIL Academic and Speech & Debate teams competed at a local meet hosted by Hays High School. The school dominated the overall competition, winning first place sweepstakes with a total of 473 points.
