— The Wimberley Texans scored in every way possible in a game of football in their home opener against Canyon Lake on Friday, Aug. 25. The Texans ended the game with a 60-6 win over the Hawks, who scored their only touchdown on a 72-yard run with 2:28 remaining in the game. After the Hawks opening kickoff, quarterback Cody Stoever set the tone leading the Texans 72 yards in 12 plays and ran the ball in for the first of three rushing touchdowns, totaling 48 yards on 12 carries. 08/30/2023 10:40 PM

Clark DRIPPING SPRINGS — “It hurts, and it should hurt,” Dripping Springs head coach Galen Zimmerman told the team, “You’ve worked hard and invested a lot, but don’t let this diminish what you guys accomplished this season.” Those were the words Zimmerman said to his team after a bitter 27-24 season ending loss last year to Vandegrift High School Vipers in a 6A Division II Quarterfinal. Clark AUSTIN — Dripping Springs’ Ava Williamson started her practice jumps in a steady light rain as the field events began at the UIL State Track & Field meet on Saturday morning in Austin. Williamson and other competitors in the 6A High Jump event tried not to let it affect them.
