Dear Editor: Starting October 23- November 3 and on Election Day November 7, you have an opportunity to vote FOR Prop 9, a TRS Cost-of-Living Adjustment (COLA) for over 420,00 TRS public education retireesteachers, administrative personnel, school bus drivers, janitors, maintenance workers, nurses, cafeteria workers and more. I bet you know a publicschool retiree. Think how this modest COLA could help them!

Dear Editor: I love rainwater You know why? Because it makes me feel secure. When the wells dry up and the lakes dry up and we're still waiting for salt desalination to get ocean water to our homes, I will be secure with my clean cistern of rain water.

Dear Editor: Thank you Free Press/News Dispatch for covering the Milestone Hays Commons issue in Hays City (and the other Milestone proposals in Buda). For well over a year, citizens in many northern Hays County neighborhoods have followed Milestone's proposal for development on the 300+ acres near SH 45, FM 1626, and Bliss Spillar.

Dear Editor: Why do men oppose abortion? They are the breadwinners! The majority of the Supreme Court Justices are men according to the last PBS photo. How many of these men voted against abortion? How many have children? Grandchildren?

Dear Editor: I am a current graduate student attending the University of Texas at Arlington. I am working towards receiving my Master’s degree in Social Work, and for an assignment, I am reaching out to discuss the school districts within Hays county, more specifically, located within Kyle city limits. As a case manager for a non-profit, I work in schools each and every day, and while I primarily work in Lockhart, I do have some youth that attend schools in Kyle.
