Staff Report DRIPPING SPRINGS — Henley Anderson, a sophomore at Dripping Springs High School, has been named to the 2023 MaxPreps Volleyball All-America Second Team, making her one of seven underclassmen and nine from Texas to receive the title. Anderson, a 6-foot-2 outside hitter, guided Dripping Springs to a 48-7 record and regional final appearance this season. She totaled 717 kills, 395 digs, 60 aces and 51 blocks, finishing just four kills shy of setting the school’s single-season record. Dripping Springs started the 2023 season 21-0 and made several appearances in the USA Today national volleyball rankings with a season-best No. 11 ranking.
Staff Report DRIPPING SPRINGS — For the 10th consecutive year, the Dripping Springs High School Girls Cross Country team is advancing to the UIL State Meet after placing second at the Region IV6A Meet on Tuesday, Oct. 24 in Corpus Christi.
The Dripping Springs High School Tiger Band qualified for the UIL 6A State Marching Contest after placing among the top five bands at the Area D Marching Contest on Saturday, Oct. 28 in Austin.
The Jack Tyndall show started after Dripping Springs’ defense forced Lake Travis (6-2 overall; 4-2 district) to punt on their opening drive. The Tigers’ junior put on a “what it takes to be a running back in Class 6A” clinic last Friday night at Tiger Stadium. Tyndall carried the ball 38 times for 216 yards, including a 57-yard touchdown in the second quarter.
DRIPPING SPRINGS — A total of 98 current Dripping Springs High School students received recognition from College Board for their performances on Advanced Placement (AP) exams administered in the spring semester.
Eight Dripping Springs High School cross country runners qualified for the Region IV-6A Meet after the girls team placed second, and Wes Anderson qualified individually, at the District 26-6A Championship on Thursday, Oct. 12 at Walter E. Long Park in Austin.

With a 48-0 win, the Dripping Springs Tigers shutout the Akins High School Eagles on Homecoming Night on Friday, Oct. 6 — but the festivities started earlier in the week for the Tigers with a campus parade and a pep rally and carnival last Wednesday.
