Voters also decided who would fill the DSISD Board of Trustees positions and whether or not to pass North Hays County Emergency Service District No. 1’s Proposition A.
— Six graduating seniors were named winners of the Hays County Local Health Department (HCLHD) essay competition.
— Three performing groups from the Dripping Springs High School band earned Superior and Excellent ratings at the UIL Region 18 Concert and Sightreading event on March 2829 at the Hays CISD Performing Arts Center in Kyle.

Clark Dripping Springs — The game was tied 2-2 in the Regional Quarterfinal playoff game last Friday night at Tiger Stadium and Lady Tigers’ MVP goalkeeper for the 2021 State Champion team Caroline Dill (The Real Dill) had repeatedly kept the Round Rock Dragons off the score board for 61 minutes and 57 seconds when the Dragons, 18-1-4 (12-02) and District 25 winners, slipped one past her to the back of the net to take the 3-2 lead.

Staff Report DRIPPING SPRINGS — The Dripping Springs High School UIL Academics team qualified 10 students and one team for the 6A Region IV Academic Meet after competing at the District 266A competition last weekend.

Clark AUSTIN — Jordan Cox, Haiden Anderson and Jai-Lynn Flores each hit a home run as the Dripping Springs softball team (23-4, 8-0) defeated the Anderson Trojans 17-0 in a shortened 5 inning game due to the run-rule last Friday at Noack Field in Austin. Dripping Springs remains undefeated in 6A District 26 as they begin the second round of district play versus Austin High on March 31 at Butler Field.
DRIPPING SPRINGS — The Dripping Springs High School DECA program qualied a school record of seven students for the International Career Development Conference (ICDC) at the DECA state competition held March 9-11 in Dallas.
Staff Report ELGIN — Julia Trimble, a Dripping Springs High School senior, captured the 6A Region 2 Championship in the 132-pound weight class on Saturday, March 4, at Elgin High School. This advances her to the Texas High School Women’s Powerlifting Association (THSWPA) State Championship.
— In its first year in Class 6A, the Dripping Springs High School Aquatics team of Athena Turner, Macie McCurry and sisters Anna and Laurel Hoskovec qualified to compete in the Girls 400 Freestyle Relay at the UIL State Swimming and Diving Championships, held in the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center. The road to state is long, beginning in mid-September with the Tiger Pentathlon and culminating on Saturday, Feb. 18 in Austin.
